Moving from Blogger to WordPress
I spent a fair amount of time tonight moving from Blogger to WordPress as I’ve helped Krista setup her blog on WordPress and realized just how superior it is to Blogger.
I already love it. WordPress is just so much easier to use than Blogger. Sure, I just paid $15 for a year of custom CSS control so I can make my font large enough for everyone to read it, but that’s worth it to be on the cutting edge of technology. I always felt like Blogger was clumsy, and now I feel like I’m driving a Ferrari (but with some limitations that can be unlocked with $$).
At some point, I will setup my own hosted version of the blog. I have already pointed www.mcnodoze.com to this blog, so that’s a first step I guess.

WordPress is definitely a huge step up from Blogger. Be careful, your personality and the near limitless options available on WordPress could be a dangerous combination. If you don’t already have a mobile blogging solution you might want to take a look at http://www.posterous.com, it’s unbelievably simple to set up and I’ve had good luck with it so far.
Yeah, even the commenting/replying feature is far superior. I did spend about 4 hours messing around with the various possibilities.
I will take a look at posterous–i thought it was an email-to-blog service, not a mobile service? Or does it do both?

No blog for me right now, I had one going but quit awhile ago. I just set one up for a friend pretty recently on WordPress though and was having fun playing with things.
Posterous is an email to blog service, sorry didn’t mean to make it sound like it was a full management suite, but if you have a blackberry or whatever to email in from it does a great job for most mobile blogging. Being able to email whatever you want in with video or photos attached and have it just format nicely into your blog is pretty useful. Trying to deal with the full WordPress on mobile, unless of course you have the iPhone app, seems a little cumbersome to me.
Hmm, seems I haven’t updated my notification settings for comments, as I didn’t get an email that you had commented, riles.
Posterous sounds pretty awesome; I will definitely check it out.
